The Challenge

Feature walls and built-in cabinetry require more than installation labor. Wall conditions, material transitions, panel alignment, openings, reveals, and finish protection must be coordinated before and during execution. Small field issues can create visible problems in the final result.

Design Coordination & Technical Review

Before execution, UCON reviewed the project drawings, field conditions, fixture locations, fireplace requirements, LED lighting locations, and panel layout intent. The installation required coordination between the design package, site conditions, and final finish details so the media wall could be executed cleanly and accurately.

Scope of Work

  • Wall panel and built-in layout review

  • Field condition verification

  • Panel alignment and reveal control

  • Built-in cabinetry installation

  • Finish protection during execution

  • Final adjustment and detailing

Execution Details

During installation, UCON coordinated panel placement, fireplace protection, built-in alignment, and finish transitions to maintain clean visual lines across the media wall. Adjustments were made in the field to support accurate reveals, level conditions, and a finished result aligned with the design intent.

Result

The completed media wall and built-in installation delivered a clean contemporary focal point with controlled alignment, integrated cabinetry, and a finished appearance consistent with the approved project direction.
